Meet Dr. Nicholas Barnard
Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Nicholas Barnard grew up in Urbandale and has been practicing pediatric dentistry since 2015 in West Des Moines. He graduated magna cum laude from Drake University with his degree in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology in 2009. Dr. Nick then graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2013. While in dental school, Dr. Nick knew he wanted to continue his education and pursued his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. While in his two-year residency he provided comprehensive care for children of all ages including emergency care, conscious sedation, and treatment in the operating room under general anesthesia.
Dr. Nick has a passion for treating children with the highest care. He strives to greet every patient with a warm smile. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his dog named Buster, vacationing with friends, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Dr. Nick is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He currently has hospital/surgery privileges at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Lakeview Surgery Center in West Des Moines, and Dallas County Hospital in Perry.
Meet Dr. Audra Feldhaus
Dr. Audra Feldhaus grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended the University of Kansas where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Organismal Biology in 2012. After she finished her time as a Jayhawk she headed off to Omaha, Nebraska. In Omaha, she completed her dental school education at Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2016. The next step in life consisted of working as a General Dentist in Kansas City where she confirmed her passion for working with kids and pursued a position in a Pediatric dental residency. She was accepted at the University of Nevada Las Vegas Advanced Education program for Pediatric Dentistry. She spent two years in Las Vegas and graduated from this program in 2019. During her two-year residency program, Dr. Audra focused on comprehensive care of all patients including special needs patients, behavior management, emergency care, treatment using nitrous oxide, treatment under conscious sedation and treatment on patients in the operating room under general anesthesia. Dr. Audra is a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. When she is not focusing on dentistry Dr. Audra enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with her friends, family and husband, John.
