Dr. Nicholas Barnard
Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Nick grew up in Urbandale and has been practicing pediatric dentistry since 2015 in the Des Moines metro. He graduated magna cum laude from Drake University with his degree in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology in 2009. Dr. Nick then graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2013. While in dental school, Dr. Nick knew he wanted to continue his education and pursued his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. While in his two-year residency he provided comprehensive care for children of all ages including emergency care, conscious sedation, and treatment in the operating room under general anesthesia.
Dr. Nick has a passion for treating children with the highest care. He strives to greet every patient with a warm smile. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his dog named Buster, vacationing with friends, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Dr. Nick is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He currently has hospital/surgery privileges at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Lakeview Surgery Center in West Des Moines, and Dallas County Hospital in Perry
